Resolution Update

Tuesday, January 15, 2013
So, as you know, one of my New Year's resolutions was to read through the Bible in a year.
I have already fallen very behind in my reading. I really need to catch up this coming weekend.
However, one really positive thing is that, though I haven't held to the plan, I have been in God's word much more consistently so far. That is progress, and that was the main goal of this plan.
I would encourage you, along with myself, to keep on trucking. It's easy to feel like a failure, but we aren't. God can help us persevere and do a better job :)

  1. I was behind last week as I was moving out here to AZ but just this morning I finally got caught up!! You can do it! My goal is more to just read the word, more than study it (because even just reading is really hard right now with how crazy things are for me) and I've had to remind myself of that despite my disappointment that I'm not getting more of out what I'm reading.

  2. Yeah, being in God's word is more my goal too, so it'll be fine. And thats awesome that you were able to catch up today :)

  3. I started a goal to memorize a new verse each week. that alone has increased my face-time with God. Which is, of course, a very good thing. Try putting a Bible app on your phone so you can "catch up" during down time. That helped me a lot when I read through it the last time.

  5. I resolved to memorize a verse a week this year. That has definitely increased my face-time with God. Which is of course, a very good thing. My advice would be to try adding a Bible app to your phone. It allows you to "catch up" when you have unplanned free time.
