Gingerbread House

Friday, December 19, 2014

A couple of weeks ago, Taylor and I built our first gingerbread house together, and I am just now
remembering to blog about it. Ooops.

Gingerbread houses, as I already told you in my Grove Park Inn post, are great fun for me. I loved doing it with my mom and brother, and I wanted to continue that with my hubby.

We did cheat and buy a kit, so it wasn't a fully homemade gingerbread experience, but it was still very fun, and we didn't have the mess of making our own icing or trying to stack and balance graham crackers one on top of the other.

I love making traditions. Taylor always picks on me and says that if I do something fun on January 15th, I'm probably going to want to do that same thing again every January 15th for the rest of my life.....and he is right. I'm weird, I know, but I just love traditions so much. And making gingerbread houses is one of those things.

What traditions, holiday or otherwise, do you like to keep? What traditions would you like to make a part of your life? Do you think they'll stick? Why or why not?

Have a happy day in the Lord :)
