First Day on the Job

Wednesday, May 23, 2012
Today was my first day at my new job. I'm working for Montreat College as an assistant to my Creative Writing Professor. I wasn't sure what to expect of the first day, as she and I are both learning together. But it turned out great, and I love her philosophy on work and allowing Christ to be continually present. I am so thankful though, for this opportunity. I have been provided a job that will look great on my resume', and I also get extra time with my boyfriend, Taylor, in the process; Taylor's family has been generous enough to offer me a room in their home for the month that I will be working this job.

Spending the month of June in the mountains of North Carolina is going to be great. I love the area, the lack of humidity and the plethora of streams available to walk by :) I get the best of both worlds this summer: the coast and the mountains!

As far as the book goes, I am only on chapter four, and it is still mostly explaining why this book will help me, so I do not have much insight yet, but I am sure it will come.
If you are looking for some where to read next in God's word, I suggest the book of Colossians. I read it over a silent retreat recently. I had read it before, but I loved it this time!
Have a GREAT rest of the week!
