Fuzzy Girls

I figured it was time for a puppy post.

As most everyone knows (or if not, you are about to find out), I'm obsessed with my big ole dog babies. I can't see anything pet related without thinking about them and how much I love them. Even when they make me furious, all I can do is laugh when they try to suck up to me by being extra cute. So here are my babies :)

This is Bella. She is my oldest and most spoiled baby. Bella is a Blue Tick Hound mix.
I adopted her from the Brunswick County Animal Shelter which is a fantastic place to adopt from. I got her when she was 3 months old and she is now over 2 years old. She is hyper-active and crazy and stubborn, but she is also the smartest, most reliable and most well-trained of the three. When I'm home alone, she stays with me to "protect" me and she can always tell when I don't feel good or am sad. She demands attention and loves ferociously. She is our spoiled-rotten princess and she knows it.

This is Molly, the youngest baby. She is an Irish Wolfhound mix. Despite the fact that she is small for her breed, she is the largest of our girls. I think she's about 60 pounds and she's about 5 feet tall when standing on her hind legs. She has been the sickly, injury-prone one since I fostered her at 9 weeks old. Somehow though, that connected us more, and she and I have a special bond. She is stubborn (like Bella) and she needs a lot of trips to the vet, but she is cute and woolly; sweet, and gentle. She's my bearded lady.

This is Freckles. Freckles is the middle child and an adorable pit mix. I fostered her at the same time I fostered Molly. Freckles is one of the sweetest dogs you'll ever meet. She's scared of everything (including watermelon if I sit it on the counter.....), but once she warms up to you she will make your heart melt. She is also the laziest dog I've ever seen (besides my Grandaddy's English Bulldog).
Freckles was the slowest to learn most things, but she makes up for it in her loving nature. (She's Taylor's favorite).

So, now you have it :) You now know more about my babies than you probably ever cared to..... Too Bad ;)

Here are a few more pics, including a puppy pic of Freckles and one of Molly too.

Chaotic but happy family :)

  1. Oh my goodness you have so many sweet fur babies! My favorites pictures are the ones of them sprawled out on the couch with paws in every direction. Our couch looks pretty similar most of the time! I'm glad to know you guys are taking in and loving on dogs who need good homes. Our pup was a rescue and we think we pretty much hit the puppy jackpot ;)
