Week in Retrospect

Saturday, April 4, 2015

This week was another week filled with weather so beautiful it could make the grumpiest of souls giddy! Ah! I sat out three days in a row reading more of Inkheart and soaking in the rays (with sunscreen on, of course!).

I spent most days this week working on my free-lance assistant job (is that a thing?), so I felt really productive, but I also just really enjoyed the beauty right outside my door :)

Earlier in the week, my mother-in-law (Toni), and I, went out for breakfast at City Bakery. It's a cute place in downtown Waynesville that has homemade pastries, breakfast biscuits, quiches, and parfaits, lunch, and awesome coffee. I don't go there very often, but I always enjoy it when I do.

Toni and I both got bacon, egg, and cheese, cheddar-scallion biscuits and coffee. We also split a sticky bun. It was so stinkin' good...I'm sort of drooling just thinking about it.
We had a really good time, just having breakfast and talking. We decided that our dates need to happen much more frequently!

A few random notes.....

My mom's chickens lay blue eggs

I miss this girl lots

And this is what happens when my hubby gets a head massage...

Ok, now that I got that out of my system, I must tell you, Monday night was awesome! Taylor's school did a production of Disney's Mulan, and they did a truly wonderful job. One of my favorite kids in the world (other than my brother and cousin, of course) was in the play. He was a smaller role, but I was so glad I got to support him and see the play :)

Thursday night our church had a Maunday-Thursday service. I had never been to one before, but thanks to my Presbyterian hubby, now I can say I have ;) It was a very good service and I would highly recommend people go to one next year.

Yesterday, Taylor and I played disc golf and then went to the gym. Afterwards, he went to a guy friend's house, and I had a few girlfriends over.
Jess took pictures of the many faces and personalities of Bella....

This is by-far my favorite ;)

I had a good week! How was yours?

    1. Hmmm. She has a few breeds, but I believe the Silkies laid those (the little fuzzy chickens).
